#18 Women's Swimming Finish Day Two at Nationals

McCann and Miles competed in the 1000 free during the morning session

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Florida Southern College women's swimming team completed day two of the NCAA Division II Swimming Championships Wednesday morning at the IU Natatorium. Mocs had two swimmers in the morning preliminaries, both in the 1000 free.
 
The Mocs sit in 22nd overall through two days of competition at the NCAA finals. Florida Southern sits with six points through 11 events for their team score, while fellow Sunshine State Conference rival Nova Southeastern is in first overall with 182 points. 
 
In the morning session, Mocs had great performances as Erin McCann led the Mocs with a 10:11.92 time in the 1000 free. Olivia Miles had the 17th-best time in the morning heats with a time of 10:15.37. Florida Southern women's team did not compete in the Wednesday evening session.
 
Day three of the NCAA Championship will begin with preliminaries in the 100 fly, 400 IM, and 200 free beginning at 10 a.m. at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis. Mocs will have both McCann and Miles back in tomorrow's events as McCann qualified in the 200 free and Miles in the 400 IM. Thursday evening's relay will be the 400 medley relay.
