MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - Four finish in double figures, as Florida Southern College women's basketball battle from behind to a 64-63 win against Barry University in Sunshine State Conference action on Wednesday evening.

The Moccasins (10-6, 3-6 SSC) were led by
Arriyana Bracero with 15 points, followed by
Sarah Lange with 14,
Marissa Jenike with 13, and
Sydney Gomes with 12. Chiara Fusari led the Buccaneers (7-9, 2-6 SSC) with 21 points, while Aubrey Jennings came away with 17 points of her own.

Barry opened up the game going on a big 12-2 run in the first five minutes of the game. Gomes went on a 10-point run of her own, hitting two layups and back-to-back 3-pointers to bring the Mocs within six, 20-14, at the 1:06 mark. To end the first quarter, Barry connected on a 3-pointer, and Lange converted on another layup, leaving the Mocs down by 7 to go into the second.Â

In the second quarter, the Mocs had to play catch up, rallying to come within one point of the Bucs, going on a 14-6 run. FSC earned the lead for the first time as Lange hit a jumper in the paint to make it 32-31. To end the first half, Barry took a one-point lead and headed into the locker room up 35-34.Â

Out of the halftime break, the Bucs hit back-to-back triples to earn the biggest lead of the second half with a five point margin. The Mocs started to knock away at the 5-point lead, as Bracero hit a jumper and layup for a 42-41 advantage with 7:18 remaining in the third. Florida Southern and Barry continued to exchange leads until Lange tied it at 47-all and the Mocs went on an 11-4 run to take back a five-point lead heading into the final quarter, 56-51.Â

The Mocs and Bucs continued to rally in the fourth, as Barry tied the game and then took a one-point lead on made free throws with just 1:36 remaining.
Amari Jackson was fouled, sending the post player to the line where she gave FSC the lead that sealed the fate for Barry as time ran out as the Mocs captured a well-deserved win on the road, 64-63.Â

Florida Southern continues with games as they travel to Winter Park after a week off of games to take on Rollins. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
