The Eagles then scored seven of the next eight points to force the first set point of period two at 24-20. The Mocs fought off three set points until a McBride kill ended the set, 25-23. The third set was tight early but after the Mocs used back-to-back points to cut the deficit to just two at 12-10, the Eagles began a 13-5 sprint to take the set and match, 25-15.
