FT. PIERCE, Fla. – After day two of competition, the Florida Southern College women's swimming team remained in second-place in the IRSC Invite, hosted by Indian River State College at the Anne Wilder Aquatic Complex.

The Moccasins are in second place with 647 points, with IRSC holding steady in first with 925.5 points. St. Thomas University (525.5 points), Rollins College (424 points), and Barry University (35 points) round out the remaining teams.Â

Prelim events began with the 400 IM, as
Olivia Miles won the morning heats at 4:28.99.
Anya Bogdanova was third in 4:30.04 to make up for the A final appearance. B finalists included
Ainsley Bennett, who was ninth in 4:39.49. In the 100 fly,
Elizabeth Sikes led the Mocs in second with 57.01, followed by
Vanda Voroshazy in fourth of morning heats in 57.12.
Sam Hunter placed 16
th in 1:00.05 for a B final appearance. C finalists included
Kaitlyn Weitz and
Zoë Celi.

Bennett then led the Mocs in the 200 free prelims in third with 1:54.81. Hunter (5
th),
Angelina Fazzino (6
th), and
Lauren Helminiak (8
th) all made the A final. B finalists included
Emma Sammons. The next morning event was the 100 breaststroke with
Alizee Pelletier leading FSC in 1:04.39 for second.
Alexa Paredes was fifth (1:05.78) and
Phoebe Reid (1:06.98) was eighth for an A final appearance. Voroshazy was 13
th in the morning heats. The final individual event for the morning was the 100 back with Celi in fifth (59.54) and Weitz seventh in 1:00.34. Helminiak (10
th), and Sikes (13
th) rounded out the FSC lineup.

The Friday finals opened with the 200 medley relay as a team of Celi, Pelletier, Sikes, and
Ana Sales finished third in 1:44.83. In the 400 IM A final, Miles finished second in 4:27.79 and Bogdanova in fifth in 4:29.48. For the 100 fly, Sikes and Voroshazy placed third and fourth, respectively, in the A final. Sales and Weitz each had a top-20 time in the earlier heats.

More podium spots for FSC with the 200 free by Bennett (1:53.58), just ahead of teammate Hunter in fourth. Fazzino and Helminiak both finished sixth and eighth in the A final. In third of the 100 breast, Pelletier finished in 1:03.89, with Paredes in fifth and Reid in seventh. The final individual event was the 100 back as Celi was fourth in 58.14, and Weitz in seventh in 59.65. Day two ended with the 800 free relay with a team of Voroshazy, Hunter, Fazzino, and Bennett in second with a time of 7:43.37.

The final day of events will take place tomorrow, Nov. 23, with prelims at 9:30 a.m. and finals at 4 p.m., all at the Anne Wilder Aquatic Complex.
