LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College volleyball team returned to action Friday night inside the George W. Jenkins Field House as the Moccasins hosted Palm Beach Atlantic in another Sunshine State Conference tilt. The Mocs came out on top, 3-1, handing the Sailfish their 14
th-straight loss in conference play this season.

The victory pushed FSC's record to 12-9 on the season including a 6-7 mark in league play. The Sailfish fell to 6-18 overall and 0-14 in SSC action.

Seniors
Sandra Sasaki and
Madison Fowler paced the Florida Southern offense as they 19 and 18 kills, respectively. Sasaki picked up her 19 kills on 35 swings with four errors for a .429 hitting percentage. She also chipped in 11 digs, two blocks and a service ace. Fowler picked up her 18 kills on 34 swings with just one error for a .500 hitting percentage. She also added a team-best eight blocks and two digs. Seniors
Kiersten Kraus and
Zoe Lowe each finished with nine kills in the win. Kraus added 15 assists, five blocks and five digs to her total while Loew added two digs and a block.

Sophomore setter
Mary Kate Mulvaney dished out a team-best 31 assists while surpassing the 1,000 career assists mark. She also had 16 digs and a kill. Both the assists and digs were team-highs. Graduate student libero
Caroline Chambers added 11 digs and a team-best six service aces.

The Mocs hit a season-best .314 as a squad while holding the Sailfish to .215. The Mocs won the serving battle with 13 aces compared to PBA's three while the Mocs also out-blocked the Sailfish 10-4.

FSC took the opening two sets 25-15 and 25-16. The Sailfish nearly led the entire way in the third, taking a 25-23 win before the Mocs closed out the match with a 25-19 fourth set win.

Florida Southern will be back in action tomorrow afternoon as the 17
th-ranked Lynn Fighting Knights visit Jenkins Field House for a 4 p.m. match. The match will also serve as the Moccasins' annual Dig for Diabetes event.
