LAKELAND, Fla. – The Florida Southern College men's tennis team won its eighth straight match with a 4-1 win against No. 28 Auburn Montgomery Wednesday afternoon at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center.

The Mocs (11-3), ranked 38
th in the latest ITA poll, won doubles and had three court wins to seal the 4-1 match win. The Warhawks (5-6) managed a solo court win but could not stop the Moccasins in another home match victory.

Florida Southern won doubles with a 2-1 majority.
Chris Fok Kow and
Mario Garoz won the first court with a 6-1 score before AUM took court two over
Bosko Boskovic and
Inaki Braun Simo for a split team score. The doubles point came down to the #3 court with
Matteo Feggi and
George Russell 6-4 winners to secure the first FSC point.

In singles, No. 54 Garoz won easily with a 6-0, 6-1 score, and Boskovic won 6-2, 6-3 at the #5 court for a 3-0 team score. No. 23 Russell was upset at the No. 1 court in two sets for the first AUM point, but Braun Simo sealed the match point in three sets by a 6-2, 1-6, 6-2 score to win the match.

The Mocs will remain at home to host No. 1 University of Indianapolis tomorrow, March 14, set for a 3 p.m. start at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center.
