DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Florida Southern College baseball team fell Saturday afternoon on the road at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, 10-4. The Eagles used runs early to take the lead and then exploded for five runs in the seventh to put the game out of reach.

The loss drops FSC's record to 14-27 on the year including 8-15 in Sunshine State Conference play. The Eagles improved to 26-17 and 12-11 in league play.

Chris McKenna and senior
Tilden Agee led the way at the plate for the Mocs. Riley went 2-4 at the dish with a pair of doubles, an RBI and a walk. McKenna also picked up two hits going 2-4 with a double, a home run, an RBI and a run scored. Agee provided the only other long ball as he went 1-4 with a home run, an RBI and a run scored. The only other RBI came from lead off hitter senior
Jevin Relaford who went 1-5 at the plate with an RBI.

The Eagles finished with 11 hits coming from eight different players including two extra-base hits.

Junior
Marcos Herrand earned the start on the mound for the Mocs and went 6.0 innings with a trio of walks allowed. He saw four runs cross the plate as he scattered eight hits. With the loss, Herrand moved to 1-4 on the year. Sophomore
Evan Mobley went the next inning with three walks allowed and five runs surrendered off of three hits. Senior
Justin Stewart finished off the game while allowing three walks. Despite not allowing a hit, he was credited with one run allowed.

The Eagles were able to plate four runs over the opening two innings including one in the first and three in the second. All four runs came with two outs which became a theme for the Eagles in the contest.

The Mocs broke through in the third as Riley sent a double to left center to score sophomore
Brady Doorey, who had reached on a lead off single. The very next inning Agee and McKenna hit back-to-back one out home runs to cut the deficit to just one.

The score remained 4-3 until the seventh inning when the Eagles took advantage of a walk and a hit by pitch to score on a one-out single. After a foul out, another walk loaded the bases which were cleared one batter later as a two-out grand slam opened up a 9-3 lead for the hosts. The Eagles tacked on one more in the eighth on a sacrifice fly for their final tally of the game, 10-3.

The Mocs took advantage of a pair of Eagle errors in the ninth to get two runners on which allowed Relaford to hit a one-out single to plate Riley for the final score of the contest, 10-4.
