COLUMBIA, S.C. — No. 15 Florida Southern College women's swimming team competed at day one of the Gamecock Invitational.
The Mocs faced off against the host University of South Carolina, alongside University of North Carolina, Tampa, Carson-Newman, East Carolina, Georgia Southern, and Savannah College of Art & Design.
True placed 17th in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:33.78, contributing 4 points to the team. She also swam in the 800-yard freestyle relay, helping the team finish 14th with a time of 7:41.70, earning 16 points.
Emma Sammons competed in the 1650-yard freestyle, finishing 23rd with a time of 17:56.75. In the 800-yard freestyle relay, she contributed to the 16th-place finish.
Alexandra Alkas Alias participated in the 14th-place 800-yard freestyle relay team, alongside True.
The Moccasins will be back for day two of the Gamecock Invitational tomorrow, featuring the 100 fly, 400 IM, 200 free, 100 BR, and 200 MR.
