LAKELAND, Fla. – The No. 7 Florida Southern College baseball team returned to Lakeland to beat Saint Leo University 6-3 in a non-conference matchup on Tuesday night at Henley Field.

The Moccasins (19-5, 7-2 SSC) matched early Saint Leo runs and later took the lead in the final innings to win 6-3. The Lions (9-16, 1-8 SSC) scored first but could not beat the Mocs in the first game for head coach
Rick O'Dette against his former team.

Florida Southern had a massive day from
Cory Filley, who went 4-for-4 at the plate. He was joined in multi-hit days by
Noah Rabin and
Cleary Simpson. Rabin and
Grant Thoroman had extra-base hits, Thoroman a double, and a solo home run by Rabin. Thoroman's double extended his hit streak to 13 games. Both Thoroman and Rabin also had two RBI in the game. FSC finished with five stolen bases as a team, eclipsing 100 stolen bases as a team through 24 games.
Jevin Relaford led the team with two, his 27
th stolen base of the season.

Jack Owens had the start for the Mocs, allowing two runs and two hits in his two innings of work. He was relieved by
Tanner Rollyson, who went three innings with just one hit and one earned run in his 10 batters faced.
Casey O'Dell was credited with the win, going three innings with just one hit allowed and no runs. It was the first win of the season for O'Dell.
Aidan Kelley pitched the final inning, allowing no hits and no runs to earn his first save of the season.

Saint Leo finished the game with four hits, led by Robinson with two hits. SLU had three stolen bases and one extra-base hit from Adams. The Lions started Rudsinski at the mound, who went six innings, giving up six hits and three earned runs. Walter was handed the loss, his third of 2025, after allowing three runs. Turner and Racculia pitched the final innings allowing no additional runs.

The Lions were first to score with a sac fly and RBI single in the first inning for a 2-0 lead. The Mocs answered with an RBI single by Rabin and an RBI hit by
Rohsean Riley to tie the game in the bottom half of the first. Neither team scored over the next few innings until Saint Leo took the lead off an RBI double from Adams, 3-2. Rabin tied the game again with a solo homer in the sixth inning, before a big three innings in the seventh inning.
Mikey Scott had an RBI single, followed by an RBI double by Thoroman to go up 6-3 through seven. O'Dell and Kelley did not allow a single hit in the eighth and ninth inning to shut down the Lions and keep an FSC 6-3 win.

The Mocs will host a four-game series against Wayne State, beginning on Friday, March 21, set for a 6 p.m. start at Henley Field.
