KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced the recipients of the 2024-25 Team Academic Excellence Award and the Honors Court, representing outstanding achievement in the classroom by men's college basketball student-athletes. The NABC Honors Court featured eight Florida Southern College student-athletes of the 2,400 athletes honored.

Kristians Feierbergs, and juniors
Alex Steen,
Amare Miller,
Donovan Smith, and
Riley Buccino represented Florida Southern on the NABC Honors Court while the team earned the excellence award.

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men's basketball programs that completed the 2024-25 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2024-25 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.

The NABC's academic awards recognize teams and athletes from all levels of college basketball.

"The dedication and hard work of these athletes, along with their coaches and support staff members who prioritize academic success, deserves to be widely celebrated.

The Moccasins are set to host another year of the Small College Basketball Hall of Fame Classic Nov. 1-2 inside the George W. Jenkins Field House to open the season.
