ALBANY, Ga. – The No. 1 Florida Southern College men's golf closed out the Hurricane Invitational tied-10th with a 16-over two-round score of 592 at the Doublegate Country Club.
Colton Swartz posted a top-5 finish, shooting a 3-under 141. The senior finished tied-5th after a 3-under round of 69 on the final day. Swartz posted a bogey-free round and carded three birdies to move up the leaderboard.
Anthony Monteleone, who competed as an individual, made a big jump up the ranks as well, shooting an even 72 in the final round. That brought his tournament score to 148 (+4) where he finished tied-39th. The sophomore carded three birdies as well as an eagle on hole 13.
Jack VanderSchuur finished tied-52nd with a 6-over 150. VanderSchuur carded three birdies in the final round.
Davis Daigle and
Thomas Evans both finished tied-54th with a two-round score of 151. Evans shot a career-low 73 to close out his first collegiate tournament. Daigle carded three birdies on the day while Evans carded two.
Liam Fernandez rounds out the Moccasin lineup, finishing 75th. Fernandez shot a 12-over 156, carding two birdies in the final round.
Nova Southeastern took home the team title, with a two-stroke lead on the hosts Georgia Southwestern. The Sharks shot a 15-under 561, going 13-under today. Jordan Jones of Georgia Southwestern took home the individual title with an 8-under 136.
