LAKELAND, Fla. - Defending national champion Florida Southern women's lacrosse head coach Kara Reber announces the 2027 slate, featuring 17 games, with 11 being played at home at Berend Field. 

"After an incredible 2026 season, we are extremely excited about the level of competition we have on our schedule for the spring of 2027," said head coach Kara Reber. "We return a core group of starters and have brought in some incoming freshmen and transfers that will make an immediate impact. The team is eager to build upon last season on the road to Baltimore with a goal to get back to the NCAA tournament. We've put together a strong schedule that will test us throughout the season and embrace competition. We are excited for our road trip to Colorado for two games as well as having an opportunity to play so many home games on Berend Field."

11 of the Mocs 17 opponents ended the 2026 season ranked in the top 25 of the IWLCA Coaches Poll, including a rematch of the 2026 National Championship against Maryville. Florida Southern will face two brand new programs in Barry and Nova Southeastern, bringing the number of Sunshine State Conference women's lacrosse programs to 10.

The Moccasins open the season at home, facing off against Flagler on Saturday, February 6th. The following weekend, the Mocs open up their conference slate with a rematch of the 2026 SSC Championship against Tampa as part of Alumni weekend on February 13th. 

They continue their home stand through March 13th, facing UIndy (Feb. 20), Maryville (Feb. 26), Southern New Hampshire (Mar. 3), Bentley (Mar. 11), and Alabama-Huntsville (Mar. 13). 

The Mocs then take their only non-conference road trip of the season, heading to Regis, Colorado, to face Dominican (Calif.) and Regis on March 19th and 21st, respectively. 

Florida Southern returns home to the Sunshine State for a lone game at Berend Field against Lynn (Mar. 27) to resume conference play. The Mocs take a quick trip over to Rollins on March 31st before returning home for a stretch of two games.

Florida Southern opens the month of April hosting Nova Southeastern as the first meeting between the two teams (Apr. 3), and Embry-Riddle (Apr. 7). That weekend, the Mocs head south to face Palm Beach Atlantic on April 10th. 

The Moccasins host their final home game of the regular season against Saint Leo on April 14th, before ending the regular season on the road against Florida Tech (Apr. 17th) and Barry (Apr. 21st). 

The Sunshine State Conference tournament is set for April 24th-May 2, while the NCAA tournament begins with the first round of games on May 13th. The 2027 National Championship will be held at Johnny Unitas Stadium in Towson, Md., on May 29 in conjunction with the Division I and Division III women's lacrosse national championships.
