USA Lacrosse announced its Division II Women's Preseason All-Americans, highlighting 56 players from 25 universities across the nation. Cannelli and Laye were two of 11 Sunshine State Conference athletes named a 2026 Division II Preseason All-American. Both return after an impressive 2025 season, where Cannelli and Laye both received Second Team IWLCA All-Region honors, and Fiirst Team All-SSC honors.

Laye also contributed to the Moccasins' defensive success, starting in 19 games. The senior tallied a career-high in groundballs (34), caused turnovers (22) and draw controls (3). She scored a goal against Lee (3/6) and had two five-caused turnover performances against Lynn (4/2) and Embry-Riddle (4/9).
