ORLANDO, Fla. – Florida Southern women's golfers Clare Gimpel and Ava La Belle were named to the 2026 All-Sunshine State Conference team, announced by the league office on Wednesday (April 29). Gimpel was an All-SSC selection in back-to-back years, earning second-team honors, while La Belle was named to the third team.
Graduate student, Gimpel, competed in all 11 of the Moccasins' tournaments, with a 75.13 stroke average. She posted three top-10 finishes, including an individual title at the NCAA National Championship Preview (Oct. 6-7, 2025), where she finished with a 7-over 223.
La Belle earned her first all-conference recognition by being named to the All-SSC third team, where she bolstered a team-leading stroke average of 75.04 and played in 10 of the Mocs' 11 tournaments. The junior posted two top-10 finishes at the Savannah Lakes Invitational (Sept. 22-23, 2025) and the NCAA National Championship Preview (Oct. 6-7, 2025).
The duo helped pace the No. 14 Moccasins during the season to six top-five finishes, including a runner-up finish at the Saint Leo Invitational (Oct. 20-21, 2025).
Tereza Zaverlova of Barry was named SSC Women's Golfer of the Year. Alexandra Remaklus and Heather Wall of Nova Southeastern were named SSC Freshman of the Year and SSC Coach of the Year, respectively.
