LAKELAND, Fla. – Senior Jacob Czyz of the Florida Southern College men's lacrosse team was honored by USA Lacrosse Magazine in its annual NCAA Division II All-American Team release. The Baldwinsville, Fla. native was listed on the Third team. The honor is the second USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American nod for Czyz after earning Honorable Mention last season.
 
Czyz was named SSC Specialist of the Week 11 times in his career, including three times this season. He currently ranks second in the NCAA in ground balls per game (10.69) and seventh in face off winning percentage (.677) while leading the conference in both categories. He scored six goals this season, giving him 20 for his career. He had double-digit faceoff wins in 15 of the 16 contests in which he appeared including a season-high of 23 versus Adams State. He had seven double-digit ground ball performances with a season-best 19 versus Adams State.
 
The SSC placed three athletes on the first team, four on the second team, four on the third team and six honorable mentions. Adelphi leads the nation with 11 All-American selections, followed by Tampa with seven. Wingate earned six, while Anderson, Lenoir-Rhyne, Lewis, Newberry and Saint Anselm also received five.
