Florida Southern Women’s Basketball Announces 2026–27 Schedule

Fifth-year head coach Megan Dzikas looks forward to a competitive schedule this upcoming season.

LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern College women's basketball head coach Megan Dzikas has announced the program's full 2026–27 schedule, featuring a mix of regional competition, non-conference games against opponents with major recent success, and a full slate of Sunshine State Conference (SSC) contests.

The Mocs tip off the season on the road at the SSC/GSC Regional Crossover just down the interstate at Tampa, where they will face off against Lee on Friday, Nov. 13, followed by a matchup with UAH on Saturday, Nov. 14. The Flames reached the NCAA Tournament in nine of the past ten seasons while the Chargers were last season's NCAA South Region Champions and made the Final Four.

Florida Southern returns to Lakeland to start conference play and a four-game home span the following week. SSC play starts with premier opponents as the Mocs host both Tampa on Wednesday, Nov. 18, before Nova Southeastern comes to town on Saturday, Nov. 21.

The Mocs are once again hosting both the Thanksgiving and Christmas Classics this season. In November, the Mocs face off against Puerto Rico-Bayamon (Nov. 27) and St. Cloud State (Nov. 28). The following month, both Lees-McRae (Dec. 18) and Western Oregon (Dec. 19) come to Lakeland for the Christmas Classic, marking the last contests of the 2026 calendar year.

"We're excited about the opportunities this schedule presents for our program," says Dzikas. "Opening the season with eight of our first 11 games at home gives our team a great chance to build momentum while playing in front of our fans. We believe in challenging ourselves, and this schedule reflects that. Playing two NCAA Tournament teams from last season in our first four games will set the tone for the road ahead. Hosting both our Thanksgiving and Christmas tournaments also allows us to bring outstanding programs from North Carolina, Oregon, and Minnesota to Lakeland, including another NCAA Tournament team."

The Mocs have three conference clashes between both holiday invitationals, starting with a road trip to Saint Leo (Dec. 2) before the start of another four-game home stretch against both Florida Tech (Dec. 5) and Lynn (Dec. 12).

The Mocs open 2027 with back-to-back bouts on the road against both Palm Beach Atlantic (Jan. 2) and Barry (Jan.9). Only two of the Mocs' first eight games of the new year are at home as they host both Eckerd (Jan. 13) and Palm Beach Atlantic (Jan. 23). In the opening month of 2027, Florida Southern also travels to Embry-Riddle (Jan. 16), Rollins (Jan. 20), Tampa (Jan. 27), and Florida Tech (Jan. 30).

To start February, the Mocs have a home stand against both Saint Leo (Feb. 3) and Rollins (Feb. 10) before heading to Davie to take on Nova Southeastern (Feb. 13). The final regular season home games of the season are set for Feb. 17 against Embry-Riddle, followed by Senior Day against Barry on Feb. 20.

The final week of the regular season features two road games against Eckerd (Feb. 24) and Lynn (Feb. 27).

"After going 15-1 at home last season," Dzikas exclaims. "We're looking forward to creating another exciting home-court atmosphere and continuing to make Jenkins Field House a difficult place to play once again!"

All home games will be played at George W. Jenkins Field House, and fans can follow the action all season long via live stats and streaming at fscmocs.com.
