FRISCO, Texas– The Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) has announced the results of the first WGCA Coaches Poll of the 2026 Fall Season. Florida Southern College women's golf opens the 2026-27 season ranked 22nd.
The Mocs finished the 2025-26 season ranked 15th in the WGCA Coaches Poll, after making it to the NCAA South Regional tournament. This year, the Mocs have competed in two events, finishing runner-up at the SSC Warm Up to open the season before an 11th place finish at the Savannah Lakes Invitational.
This year, the Mocs are led by senior
Ava La Belle, who holds a 73.80 stroke average through five rounds of play.
Christina Nordlander,
McKinlee Proctor, and
Susie Davis all return from last year's team.
New Mocs
Alexandra Botsis,
Ella Ahlqvist, and
Emma Visnovska have made it into the Moccasin lineup, competing in both tournaments, while
Roo Davis and
Anne Charlotte Otto both saw their first action as Mocs in the opening tournament.
Florida Southern is one of seven SSC schools represented in the top-25, with Barry (4), Nova Southeastern (13), Tampa (14), Lynn (17), Rollins (18), and Saint Leo (T20). Eckerd and Palm Beach Atlantic were both receiving votes.
The Mocs are back in action on October 3rd and 4th, competing in the NCAA Preview at the Mission Inn Resort + Club in Howey-In-The-Hills, Fla.
