PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – The No. 1 Florida Southern College men's golf team closed out the National Preview in 1st place, with a 28-under score of 836 at PGA National Resort on Tuesday afternoon. 
 
Jack VanderSchuur claimed his first individual title with a career-low round of 64 (-8) to close out the Mocs' season opener. The sophomore posted his second bogey-free round of the tournament, carding 8 birdies and 10 pars. He closed the tournament with a 3-round score of 203 (-13), and ranked tied-1st in the field on par 3s (-1), first in the field with fewest bogeys (4), and second in the field on par 5s (-9). 
 
Davis Daigle closed out the tournament in sole possession of third, with a 9-under three-round score of 207. The freshman shot a 1-under 71 in the final round, with five birdies on the day. Daigle topped the field in total birdies with 18 throughout the three rounds. 
 
Colton Swartz also posted a top-10 finish, with a 5-under three-round score of 211 to finish seventh. The senior shot a 74 in the final round with four birdies. Swartz ranked second in the field on par 4s (-6). 
 
Liam Fernandez, who competed as an individual, closed out his collegiate debut with a tied-12th finish. The freshman shot a 74 in the final round with four birdies. 
 
Sophomore Anthony Monteleone closed with his best round of the tournament, shooting a 2-under 70 to improve to finish tied-20th. Monteleone carded four birdies in the final round, finishing with a three-round score of 221 (+5). 
 
Logan Leistner also posted his best round of the tournament today, shooting a 73. He carded four birdies in the final round. 
 
The Mocs take home their first title of the 2026-27 season with a 5-stroke lead on Georgia Southwestern. As a team, the Mocs shot 10-under in the final round, shooting 28-under overall. Georgia Southwestern finished runner-up, making up significant ground with a 19-under final round. With the Mocs' VanderSchuur winning the individual title, Christian Yanovitch of Oklahoma Christian was the individual runner-up with an 11-under 205.
