AS A SOPHOMORE (2020)
HONORS: SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… appeared in 20 games… hit .258 with two RBI, eight runs scored, and two stolen bases… had a .313 OBP while slugging .258… saw her fielding percentage improve from .931 in 2019 to .970 in 2020… hit .351 in 11 home games and .370 in nine wins… her best game came against Western Ontario (Feb. 21) when she reached base four times by going 3-for-3 at the plate with a walk and three runs scored.
AS A FRESHMAN (2019)
HONORS: SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award… was one of two freshmen (Maddi Conner) to play in all 44 games for the Moccasins in 2019… as a regular at the top of the lineup, she had 141 at-bats in which she recorded 21 runs, 43 hits, 14 walks, and stuck out 26 times… on the base paths, she had six stolen bases in eight attempts, which led the team… she put together a nine-game hitting streak to close out the month of March… she was second on the team with 21 runs scored... she led the team with 43 hits and with a .305 batting average (min. 100 AB).
HIGH SCHOOL
Joins the Moccasins as a 2018 graduate of Carrboro High School in Carrboro, North Carolina… First softball player from Carrboro High School to play at the collegiate level… 4-time all-conference selection while playing two years at St. Augustine High School in Florida and two at Carrboro… Team MVP as a sophomore at St. Augustine before winning that same honor as a junior and senior for Carrboro… Served as team captain her senior year when she hit .544 with a .694 on-base percentage, scored 52 runs and stole 41 bases… In her two seasons at St. Augustine, hit .500 (80-for-160), with a .568 OBP, scored 64 runs, had 35 RBI, stole 41 bases in 42 attempts, and was Max Preps St. Augustine Player-of-the-Year as a freshman… Hit .625 in her first season at Carrboro with a .735 on-base percentage, and followed that with a .544 average (31-for-57), .694 OBP (walked 27 times), 52 runs, and 41 steals as a senior… Had 90 stolen bases in her high school career… National AP Scholar, North Carolina High School Athletic Association Scholar-Athlete, and Rensselaer Medal winner… Played travel ball for Florida Select, helping them take fourth place in the 2014 USSAA World Series, and later the Lady Lightning.
PERSONAL
Daughter of Jason and Candace Dewith… Has one younger sister (Zoe)… Favorite team is the Chicago Cubs… Would like to become an athletic trainer after graduation.
