The game began with Charlie McBeath sinking a 3-pointer for Augusta, assisted by Rodney Scott, just 10 seconds into play. However, Lubbock Christian quickly responded with Kendall Dow scoring a layup followed by a 3-pointer, contributing significantly to their early lead. Despite efforts from Tobias Prall and Elias Palsson, who both scored from beyond the arc, Lubbock Christian maintained momentum with Alex Anamekwe and Amondo Miller Jr. leading a strong offensive presence in the paint.
