Florida Southern College

After a four-year playing careerfor the Moccasins, Colin Kaline is now a member of the FloridaSouthern baseball coaching staff for second straight seasonin 2015. This will his second season assisting at hisalma mater and will work primarily with the team'sinfielders.

Kaline completed his four-yearMoccasin career in the spring of 2011. He led the team inwalks in each of his final three seasons, including drawing 34walks and hitting .287 as a senior in 2011.

He received his bachelorsdegree from FSC in 2011 in Human Movement andPerformance, while minoring in psychology and physicaleducation.

Kaline wasa drafted by the Detroit Tigers in the26th round of the 2011 MLB Draft and played two seasons in theTigers organization before becoming a part of the GulfCoast League Tigers rookie team coaching staff. TheTigers also selected Kaline in the 25th round of the 2007MLB Draft out of Groves High School in Birmingham, Mich.,where he batted .535 while striking out three times in 187 at-batsbefore opting to attend college at Florida Southern.

He is the grandson of DetroitTigers Hall of Fame Baseball player Al Kaline.

Kaline is married to Stephanie(Eller) and the couple was married on Oct. 26, 2013.
