Jaylen Guy

Jaylen Guy joins the Florida Southern coaching staff prior to the 2025 season in his first coaching position after spending five seasons competing in Division I baseball.

In his first year at Florida Southern, Guy served as the first base coach for one of the best base-running teams in all Division II. The Mocs finished with 230 SB in 2025, smashing the previous program record of 167 set in 1998. Eight Moccasins were named All-conference in 2025, including two named on the All-defensive team.

Guy spent four seasons at Liberty University with 183 games and 179 starts with the Flames. He totaled 156 hits and seven homers across his career with Liberty, having a career-best .309 batting average in the 2023 season. After four great years with Liberty, Guy spent his final year of eligibility at the University of Florida with a Gators team that made it to the College World Series in 2024. Guy played in 38 games with 19 starts at center field, where he had seven runs scored, two RBI, and two stolen bases. He pitch ran and scored the game-winning run in the 13th inning against Clemson to advance to the College World Series in early June. Guy had one appearance in the CWS as a defensive replacement versus Texas A&M on June 19.

He received his undergraduate certificate in Sports Management from UF in May 2024.
