Tim Everly joined Florida Southern prior to the 2019 season as an assistant coach, and works alongside Nate Striz with the team's pitchers, while also serving as the catcher's coach and bullpen coordinator. During his time with the Mocs, Everly has helped coach three pitchers who were drafted or signed free-agent deals with Major League Baseball franchises. Cooper Bradford was a 13th round selection of the Chicago White Sox in 2019, while Matt Martin and Leo Rodriguez inked free-agent deals with the Seattle Mariners the same year.

In his first season assisting with the pitchers, the Moccasins tossed a combined no-hitter against Eckerd (Feb. 5), issuing just four walks and nine strikeouts against the Tritons. It was the Mocs' first no-hitter in nearly 20 years, when J.C. Barnett no-hit Florida Tech on the road on April 7, 2001. Rodriguez recorded nine saves in 2019, the sixth-best single-season mark in program history. In the field Florida Southern's catchers posted a fielding-percentage of .988, committing just six errors all season, and threw out 21-of-50 baserunners attempting to steal, the third-best mark in the SSC.

A two-sport athlete in college, Everly played baseball and football at Colgate. He was a catcher/relief pitcher in baseball, and played two seasons on the defensive line for the Raiders. An FHSAA certified coach in the state of Florida, he coached baseball in central Florida for a decade prior to joining the staff at Florida Southern.
