AWARDS AND HONORS
2014 (Junior year at Florida Southern): NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award winner… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… 2012 (Freshman year at Webber International): All-Sun Conference Team… February 20 TSC Player-of-the-Week.
Returning starter at shortstop for the Moccasins, though she missed 18 games due to injury… Transferred to Florida Southern from nearby Webber International University, where she was a 2-year starting shortstop and leadoff hitter for the Warriors, and an all-conference selection as a freshman… Helped the Warriors win The Sun Conference regular season title in her first season with the team with a 15-3 league record before they went on to win the conference tournament, advance to the NAIA national tournament, and finish with an overall mark of 38-22… Hit .394 in her two seasons at Webber, with six home runs, 53 RBI, and 23 stolen bases in 24 attempts.
Junior season highlights (2014)
* Started 26 games at shortstop and as the #3 hitter in the batting order
* Did not have enough at-bats to qualify for the league leaders, but her .442 on-base percentage would have put her among the top-10 in the SSC and been #1 on the team… Slugging percentage would have also led the Moccasins… Despite missing 18 games, still finished in a tie for second on the team with 15 RBI, and was second in doubles (8) and extra-base hits (9)… Led the Mocs with 15 walks
* Hit a team-high .520 (13-for-25) with runners in scoring position, walked six times, and had only one strikeout in 33 plate appearances
* Came to the plate with the bases loaded three times and delivered on all three occasions with a 2-run double at Florida Tech (March 29) and a pair of walks against Concordia-St. Paul (March 14)
* Put together a 10-game hitting streak from Feb. 7 – March 14 that was the second longest of the season for the Moccasins, and reached base safely with either a hit or a walk in the first 11 games of her Florida Southern career… Reached safely in 22 of her 25 full games (played only two innings in one game vs. Rollins)
* Had two games with two extra-base hits, picking up a pair of doubles in a 6-3 win at Flagler (Feb. 18), and a double and triple in a 14-8 win over Ohio Dominican (March 15)… Those games represented two of the three times in which a Florida Southern player had two extra-base hits in 2014
* Also had a game with three walks against Barry, which represented another Florida Southern season-high (March 1)
* Had eight multi-hit games with 3-hit games at Flagler (Feb. 18) and vs. Ohio Dominican (March 15)
* Had a pair of 2-hit games against Canadian National Champion Western Ontario (Feb. 21)
* Drove in the winning run with an RBI single in the top of the 10th inning to beat Florida Tech in a suspended game (March 30), then had a 2-run double that sent the nightcap of that doubleheader to extra innings tied at two, before singling and scoring in the 14th inning as part of a 4-2 victory
Sophomore season highlights (2013)
* Webber’s leading hitter for the second year in a row with a .422 batting average, which ranked fourth in the conference… Led the team in runs scored (44) and stolen bases for the second year in a row too (12-for-13), and was also the team leader with 62 hits… Second on the team with her .476 on-base percentage and was one four players with a slugging percentage of .599 or greater… Also second on the team with 13 doubles and third with 30 RBI
* Had 17 multi-hit games for the second year in a row despite playing 12 fewer games in 2013 than she did in 2012
* Had eight games with three or more hits, five of them against schools from the Sunshine State Conference, including both games of a doubleheader against Eckerd (April 10)
* Had one of her two 4-hit games against Florida Southern, and went 6-for-8 with a double, home run, and three RBI in their doubleheader (April 16)… In 10 games against SSC schools, went 23-for-37 (.622) with five doubles, three home runs, and 13 RBI
* Only one time all season did she have two consecutive games without a hit
* Ended the season on a 6-game hitting streak, a stretch where she went 13-for-22 with eight RBI
Freshman season highlights (2012)
* Webber International’s leading hitter with a .371 batting average that also ranked second in the conference… Also led Webber in runs scored (47), triples (6) and stolen bases (11-for-11), and was second in hits (63) and doubles (13)… Her .432 on-base percentage was second on the team and tenth in the conference, and she was one of four Webber players with a slugging percentage over .550
* Was 14th nationally in triples at the NAIA level
* Ended the season on a 14-game hitting streak that included a 5-for-8 performance (.625) at the NAIA National Tournament, where she also had a double, two RBI and two walks
* Also went 7-for-13 (.538) with a double, three triples and seven RBI in The Sun Conference Tournament, giving her a .571 batting average in the postseason that year
* Had a season-high four RBI on two different occasions, once against Eckerd (March 7) when she also hit one of her two home runs, and once against St. Thomas in the TSC Tournament (May 6)
* Went 3-for-4 against Florida Southern with a double, triple, one RBI and three walks
* Had 17 multi-hit games, with a pair of 3-hit games
In high school… Graduated from Timber Creek High School in 2010 where she was a 3-time Class 6A All-State selection for the 3-time district champions… As a senior, helped Timber Creek go 25-3-1, while hitting .457 (42-for-92), and owning a .540 on-base percentage, with four doubles, two triples, one home run, 10 steals, and 20 RBI… Hit .453 (39-for-86) with a .510 OBP, six doubles, five triples, 12 RBI and nine steals as a junior when the Cougars were 24-4… Helped the Wolves reach the region final as a sophomore in 2008, when they went 25-5… Played travel ball for Team DeMarini coached by Jim Stump… Personal… Daughter of Patti and Tony Lanci… Has one older brother (Bryon-25)… Born 6/3/92… Business Administration major.
