2015 SEASON: HONORS – All-SSC 2nd Team ... SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll ... Started 43 of his 44 games played … was third on the team with 64 hits in 188 at bats for a .340 batting average … second on the team with 52 runs scored and third with 103 total bases … had 17 multi-hit games .. had a career-day against Warner on 3/17, going 6-for-7 with six runs scored, a pair of homers, and seven runs batted in ... one with four (5/4 at Lynn with four runs scored), and six with three hits ... had six games with two of more runs batted in ... collected seven doubles, seven triples, and tied for second on the team with six homers … posted a .548 slugging percentage drove in 31 runs with a .410 on-base percentage … stole five bases in seven attempts … posted a .979 fielding percentage with 131 putouts and just three errors ... had three hits and scored three runs in both games of a doubleheader at Albany State on 2/21 ... also had three hits in back-to-back games vs. Rollins (4/2 and 4/3) ... also had back-to-back three-hit games on 4/14 vs. Flagler and 4/17 vs. Eckerd ... batted .351 in 23 conference games with 22 runs scored and 16 RBI ... had five doubles, two triples, and four homers in SSC action.

Transferred to FSC from Polk State College

PRIOR TO FSC: Played two seasons (2013-14) at Polk State College for coach, Al Corbeil, who played baseball at Florida Southern in 2001 ... named to the Florida State JUCO Tournament All-Tournament Team and was also named a Second-Team All-Conference selection ... started for the sophomore team in the Florida JUCO All-Star Team ... hit .310 as a sophomore and recorded three home runs, 40 RBI, 17 doubles and three triples ... was a standout in the classroom at Polk State as he graduated with a 3.3 cumulative grade point average in liberal arts.   

HIGH SCHOOL: 2012 graduate of Sickles High School in Tampa ... played for coach Bob Pagano at Sickles ... earned four letters in baseball ... as a senior, earned Second-Team All-County and Team MVP honors ... hit .340 and committed no errors in center field ... started in the Hillsborough vs. Pinellas County All-Star Game ... hit .356 with no errors as a centerfielder as a sophomore ... as a freshman, started nine games and hit .280 with no errors playing in the field ... also played one season of JV Basketball (2009) at SHS.

PERSONAL: majoring in sports communication and marketing ... likes to work out, music and watch documentaries ... played with the Shelter Island Bucks of the Hamptons Collegiate League in the summer of 2013 ... played travel ball with SCORE Baseball and Bullets Baseball ... son of Kelly and John Machonis ... has a sister, Megan (22) and a brother, Jack (21) ... born 6/16/94.
