Sam Winning joined the Florida Southern coaching staff for the 2019 season, after finishing up his degree in Business Administration from FSC in the spring.

A two-year student-athlete for the Mocs, Winning saw limited action as a keeper, earning two starts. Prior to Florida Southern, he spent the 2015 season at Anoka Ramsey Community College in Minnesota where he played as a freshman. At Anoka, he earned All-Minnesota College Athletic Conference honors as he led the Golden Rams to a 14-4 record, the Region XIII Championship and a runner-up finish in the district.

Additionally, he played two seasons in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) while in Minnesota, in 2016 with the Minnesota Twin Stars and 2017 with Duluth FC.

Originally from Dundee, Scotland, he attended Monifieth High School while playing for St. Johnstone Youth Academy.
