One of the Moccasins’ most experience players, and one of three who have appeared in at least 40 games over the last three seasons (Jonathan Radvogin, Cole Clingerman and Guevara).
As a junior (2015)… Played in all but one game, and his 11 appearances as a reserve were the most on the team… First or second sub into the match on six occasions… Made starts up front against Lees-McRae and Palm Beach Atlantic… Averaged nearly 30 minutes per match.
As a sophomore (2014)… Served as one of the Moccasins’ top players off the bench for the second year in a row… One of seven Moccasins who saw action in all 15 games, and one of only four who returned in 2015… Started the final two games of the season, and had a season-high three shots in the match vs. #9 Saint Leo (Oct. 21)… First or second reserve into the game six times… Began the Mocs’ comeback from a 2-0 deficit against Tampa by scoring their first goal in the 70th minute before the game ended in a 2-2 draw (Oct. 15)… That game marked the first time in 11 years the Mocs came back from a 2-goal deficit in the second half for either a win or tie… Averaged 32 minutes per match with a high of 57 at Florida Tech (Oct. 18).
As a freshman (2013)… One of Florida Southern’s top reserves, averaging 40 minutes overall and 25 minutes in his eight games coming off the bench… Became the first player in team history to record three assists in his first career game when he set up all three goals in the season-opening 3-1 win over Warner (Sept. 7)… The three assists in that game equaled the most for any player in the Sunshine State Conference in 2014… Took four of his 11 shots in the 2-1 non-conference loss to Saint Leo (Sept. 15) and also had another strong performance in the 3-0, non-conference win over 11th-ranked Tampa (Sept. 28).
In high school… 2013 graduate of Cypress Bay High School… Played for head coach John Ramos and led the Lightning to three straight state championships, including one at the 6A level in 2011 before back-to-back titles in 5A… That made Cypress Bay the first public school in Florida to ever win three state championships in a row… Helped Cypress Bay to an undefeated season in 2012 (23-0-2)… As a senior when Cypress Bay went 19-2-4, scored 19 goals, was First Team All-Broward County, the 5A Player-of-the-Year in Florida, and was a finalist for the state’s Mr. Soccer Award… First Team All-Broward County as a junior also… Played club soccer for Weston FC, where he played for Sergio Pereyra, Brandon Collins and Victor Pastora… Scored a total of 41 goals during the 2012-13 season between high school and club soccer… Extra… Born 9/2/94… Son of Hugo and Liliana Guevara… Has one younger brother (Gregorio)…Favorite pro team is Real Madrid… Interpersonal Communication major.
