AS A SENIOR (2020)
HONORS: SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… appeared in 18 games… hit .255 with three doubles in 51 at-bats… her .301 OBP was the second-highest of her career… had 11 RBI to go along with 13 hits and six runs scored… hit .333 in eight conference games with a .385 OBP… went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI in a 7-2 win against Tampa (March 7)… finished her career with a .253/.301/.323 slash line at the plate with 87 hits, 21 doubles, two home runs, 49 RBI, 37 runs, 23 BB, and three steals in 384 at-bats across 137 games.
AS A JUNIOR (2019)
HONORS: SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll, D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award… She played in 40 of the Mocs 44 games… she finished the season with a career-high batting average of .286 in 105 at-bats as she recorded 30 hits, six doubles, scored eight runs, and drove in 13 runs… she was one of six Moccasins to hit a home run… her second career home run was a three-run shot to give the Mocs a 7-0 lead in the series opener at Barry (March 29)… she was second on the team with six doubles… third with 13 RBI… a .371 slugging percentage was good for third on the team, and was fourth in batting average... she recorded eight multi-hit games, including going 2-3 at the plate in both games of the doubleheader to end the season against then-No. 2 West Florida… her longest hit streak spanned six games (March 16-22).
Returning two-year starter who was all-conference as a freshman, and has started multiple games at three different defensive positions, though she was almost exclusively at second base in 2018… Coming into 2019 has started 44 games at second, six at first, three at catcher, and 26 as the designated player.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2018)
HONORS: NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award winner… NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Started 44 of 48 games for the Moccasins, with 42 coming at second base, one at first base, and one as the designated player… Tied for second on the team with nine doubles… Doubled in three consecutive games on March 3 and 5, the final game of the series at Lynn and the home doubleheader with Chestnut Hill… Delivered a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning in her first start of the season, helping blow the game open in a 6-3 win at Francis Marion (Feb. 7)… Went 3-for-6 with a double and a walk in a doubleheader sweep at Lynn, helping the Mocs come from behind for wins in both games (March 3)… Played a crucial role in 2-1 win over Ursuline with an RBI single in the second inning and leadoff single in the bottom of the seventh that turned into the winning run (March 13)… Hit a 2-run double for the Mocs’ final runs in a 7-6 win over Barry (March 24) that helped the Mocs pull off a 3-game sweep… Ended the season by hitting safely in all three games at Nova Southeastern, going 3-for-10 with a walk (April 27-29)… Had five multi-hit games, equaling her career-high with three hits in 8-1 win over Western Ontario (Feb. 20)… Also matched her career-high with four RBI in that game, delivering a 2-run single that put the Mocs ahead in the third inning, an RBI single in the fifth, and a 2-run double in the sixth… One of two Moccasins, along with Jenna Weldon, to have a game with four RBI in 2018… Had an RBI in four straight games on March 10 and 13, which included both ends of a doubleheader with Rollins and both games of a doubleheader with Ursuline.
AS A FRESHMAN (2017)
HONORS: First Team All-Sunshine State Conference at DP… NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award winner… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Started the first 35 games of the season before missing the final six games against Florida Tech and Tampa due to injury… The only player on the team to start games at three different defensive positions (three as the catcher, five at first base and two at second base) in addition to 25 starts as the DP… Normally hit sixth in the lineup… Tied for the team lead with six sacrifice bunts…Florida Southern’s second-leading hitter in conference play with a .346 average (18-for-52), trailing only Shannon Bell’s .388, and was 11th in the SSC in that category… her only home run was a grand slam against Florida Tech in her final game of the season, which helped give the Mocs a 10-2, 5-inning victory (April 8)… First grand slam for Florida Southern in seven years… Best conference series came at Eckerd where she went 6-for-13 (.462) with four RBI, including five hits in the doubleheader… Went 4-for-10 with a walk against Lynn, and 4-for-9 at Rollins… Had a .387 batting average (12-for-31) with runners in scoring position, which was second on the team to Leah Pemberton… Had six multi-hit games, two of them with three hits (3-for-5 at Eckerd on Feb. 17, and 3-for-3 vs. Lynn on Feb. 25)… Had two games with at least three RBI, one of only two players on the team along with Zierra Flodman to have two such games in 2017 (three RBI at Eckerd on Feb. 17, and four RBI vs. Florida Tech on April 8).
In high school… Came to Florida Southern as a 2016 graduate of Bartow High School, playing for both Glenn Rutenbar and Donna Byars as a 4-year starter… Second Team All-State as a junior catcher (7A) and senior infielder (8A)… 4-time All-Polk County selection as an outfielder, catcher and infielder… Helped lead Bartow High School to the Class 8A state championship as a senior after the Yellow Jackets reached the state semifinals at the 7A level her junior year… As Bartow’s leadoff hitter, went 3-for-9 with two doubles in the state semifinals and finals as a senior, helping the Yellow Jackets defeat Clearwater Countryside 5-2 in 11 innings for the title… 4-time district champion who won regional championships as a junior and senior… Won the Bartow Coaches Award in 2013 and 2014, and was Bartow’s Defensive MVP as a junior… Played for the Bartow Intimidators in travel ball, coached by Lee Spears, Glenn Rutenbar and Donna Byars… Helped the Polk County Crush finish as NSA Southeast Region runner-up and played for the Florida Softball Academy’s Showcase Team… In addition to playing softball in high school, also rode dressage (equestrian) for four years… Graduated with high honors and distinction and was Bartow’s 2016 Salutatorian.
Personal… Daughter of Van and Virginia Mace… Father was also a college athlete… Has one younger brother (Zachary)… During her time at Bartow High School, was a member of the Junior ROTC program at Summerlin Academy and battalion commander, and held the rank of Cadet Lieutenant Colonel.
