AS A JUNIOR (2018)
HONORS: Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete… Led the Florida Southern pitching staff with 28 appearances, and her 22 relief appearances broke the previous school record of 18 set by Hannah Loyer in 2016, and were the most of any pitcher in the SSC in 2018… Also led the Moccasins with three saves, protecting wins over South Carolina-Aiken (Feb. 8), Barry (March 23), and West Florida (April 24)… Ranked eighth in the Sunshine State Conference with a 2.00 earned run average, which was second on the team behind Kristen Beacham… Save total tied for fourth in the SSC… Sixth in the SSC in fewest walks per 7.0 innings with a 1.21 average… Had a 5-4 record, including a 4-2 mark with a 1.41 ERA out of the bullpen… Had 10 relief outings of at least 3.0 innings, and four with at least 4.0… During conference play, led the team with 20 appearances and a 1.59 ERA while putting together a 4-2 record with one save in 61.2 innings… Was the winning pitcher in relief in Florida Southern’s first win at Chris Bellotto Field, pitching 5.2 scoreless innings for a 1-0, 11-inning with over Tampa in which she gave up only one hit, struck out two and did not issue a walk (Feb. 17)… Came back in the second game of that doubleheader to pitch 4.1 innings out of the bullpen, giving her a total of 10.0 innings for the day with only two runs (one earned) on five hits with no walks… Earned another 1-0 win in relief against Eckerd one week later by pitching 2.1 innings and working around errors in the final two innings that put the go-ahead run into scoring position (Feb. 23)… Tossed 3.0 scoreless innings of relief for a 3-1 win at Lynn in which the Mocs came back from a 1-0 deficit (March 2)… Pitched her only complete game as an emergency starter against Barry, giving the Moccasins a 7-6 win in which she allowed just two earned runs… Combined on four shutouts, one of them as a starter when she pitched the first three innings of a 1-0 win over Hillsdale (March 7)… Season-high of five strikeouts came in her first appearance of the season at Francis Marion (Feb. 7) and she averaged 4.2 strikeouts per 7.0 innings… Led the pitching staff with 21 assists, and had four in her complete game with over Barry (March 24).
AT HILLSBOROUGH COMMUNITY COLLEGE (2016-17)
2-year starter for the Hawks under head coach Elizabeth Holloman… Won 19 games in two seasons at HCC with 109 strikeouts while averaging less than 1.5 walks per seven innings, an average that would have put her among the leaders in the Sunshine State Conference… Second Team All-Suncoast Conference as a sophomore when she won 10 games with one save… Pitched all three of her shutouts over the second half of the season… Led the team in nearly every pitching category as a freshman, while started a team-high 25 games with 26 total appearances in the pitcher’s circle… Posted a 9-11 record with 10 complete games, one shutout, a 2.85 ERA, and 57 strikeouts in 144.2 innings… Pitched a one-hitter in her debut for the Hawks, giving up only one unearned runs with nine strikeouts in a 9-1 win over Richard Bland College (Jan. 30)… The nine strikeouts stood as her season high… In limited time at the plate, hit .250 (2-for-8) with one double and three RBI.
In high school… 2015 graduate of Dunedin High School… Helped the Falcons win two district titles and finish as district runner-up once… Selected First Team All-Pinellas County all four years of her high school career and was First Team All-State once… 3-time team MVP for the Falcons… National Honor Society member, Spanish Honor Society, and senior class historian… Voted most athletic as a senior… Personal… Daughter of Jim and Chris Ehlers… Has two older sisters (Amber and Ashley) who also played college softball, with Ashley pitching four years at Saint Leo from 2012-15… Favorite pro team is the Tampa Bay Rays… Joined former junior college teammates Shannon Bell, Desirae Klumpp and Alli Carroll at Florida Southern for the 2018 season.
