Biography

One of six seniors on this year’s team and one of three who joined the team as a junior college transfer in 2016 (Klein, Dana Mackiewicz and Erica Morrissey).

AS A JUNIOR (2016)
Started 43 of her 44 games played with 42 coming in left field and one in center ... Began the year hitting in the #9 slot but moved into the #2 position in the batting order on March 12 and hit there in all but one game the remainder of the season ... Second on the team in batting average (.273) and runs scored (19) ... Third on the team in hits (35) ... Led the Moccasins with 15 stolen bases and was not caught all season, giving her 24 successful steals in a row dating back to her sophomore season in junior college ... One of only two players in the SSC with at least 10 attempts who was not caught in 2016 (Rollins’ Brittany Johnson was 13-for-13) ... One of four players in team history to go 15-for-15 or better in one season (Karlyn Scott holds the team record with 29 steals in 29 attempts during the 2012 season and is the only player with 20 or more who was not caught) ... Had eight multi-hit games with a season-high of three hits coming in a 6-5, 11-inning win over Eckerd (April 30) ... Had a pair of 2-hit games in a doubleheader at Lynn (Feb. 20) ... Had the second longest hitting streak for a Moccasin in 2016 with eight consecutive games from Feb. 12-26 ... Hit .478 (11-for-23) during that streak ... Best conference series of the season came at Lynn where she went 5-for-10 with a double, one RBI and two steals (Feb. 19-20) ... Drove in the tying run with two out in the top of the seventh inning in the series finale, which resulted in a 4-4 tie after 10 innings due to darkness ... Had two hits and two runs scored to help bring the Mocs back from a 4-0 deficit against Barry, with FSC eventually winning 8-5 (March 12) ... Doubled and scored the winning run with two out in the bottom of the seventh inning of a 2-1 win over Palm Beach Atlantic (March 26) ... Hit all three of her doubles against SSC competition or provisional SSC members, and both of her RBI came in conference play ... Led all Moccasin outfielders with 91 putouts, which was 54 more than anyone else on the roster, and also led the team with three outfield assists

AT ST. JOHN'S RIVER STATE COLLEGE (2014-15)

Hit .297 in her two years at St. John’s River State College in Palatka, Florida where she played for head coach Katie Brosky and helped the Vikings reach the state junior college tournament as a sophomore, their first trip in four years ... Took over as a starting outfielder her sophomore year and hit .300 (30-for-100) with one double and six RBI, and went 19-for-20 on stolen base attempts ... Steal total ranked among the top-20 in the state among all Florida junior college programs ... Helped the Vikings to a 33-22 record that season ... Had a total of 10 multi-hit games, and had one game against South Georgia State on February 6 with three hits and three stolen bases. 

In high school… 4-year letter winner at North Marion High School in Citra, Florida where she was a career .403 hitter, had a .469 on-base percentage and was 48-for-51 on the bases… Her best season with the Colts came as a senior in 2013 when she hit .435 with three doubles, a triple, 13 RBI and 27 steals… Class 5A All-State selection at North Marion… Helped the North squad win the FACA All-Star Classic as a senior.... Personal… Daughter of Glenn and Tara Klein… Has one brother (Kevin)… Born 1/2/95… Exercise Science major.
