AS A JUNIOR (2017)
HONORS: Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Played in 22 games, all as a pinch-runner to lead the team in that department for the third year in a row… Scored seven runs with two stolen bases… Had one steal vs. SW Minnesota State and the other vs. Claflin.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016)
HONORS: Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Played in 33 games with a team-leading 32 appearances as the Moccasins’ top pinch-runner for the second year in a row… Her 32 games as a pinch-runner were the third most in team history (Allasyn Lieneck holds the record with 43 in 2012)… Scored nine runs in that role and also went 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts… All three steals came in conference games over the final month of the season against Florida Tech, Nova Southeastern and Eckerd… Scored the winning run in the first game and the tying run in the second game when Florida Southern twice rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh for a pair of 2-1 wins in a doubleheader sweep of Spring Hill (Feb. 10)… Scored two more late-inning critical runs in both games of a doubleheader sweep at Lynn (Feb. 20)… Played on defense as an outfielder against Tampa (April 23).
AS A FRESHMAN (2015)
HONORS: Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Played in 16 games overall and was Florida Southern’s top pinch-runner with a team-high 15 appearances in that role… Walked in her only plate appearance as a designated player against Saint Leo (April 24)… Saw her only defensive action as an outfielder at Spring Hill when she had her first at-bat (March 4)… Had her only stolen base in a game at Palm Beach Atlantic (Feb. 24).
In high school… 2014 graduate of Northwest High School in Germantown, Maryland… 4-year letter winner for head coach Kevin Corpuz… Named First Team All-Gazette and team MVP as a senior when she hit .642 (34-for-53) with a .725 on-base percentage, seven doubles, two triples, two home runs, 16 RBI, 28 runs, and six steals… Hit .446 as a junior when she helped the Jaguars reach the Maryland state semifinals for the first time in school history… Also a member of the cross-country and indoor track & field teams… Played six years of travel ball for the Germantown Titans, coached by Jim Krichbaum… Played in four national tournaments in Orlando from 2011-14, finishing in the top-10 three times, highlighted by a third-place finish in 2014… Personal… Daughter of Sean and Jackie Sheppard… Has one older brother (Aaron) and a twin sister (Naomi)… Twin sister is on the track and field team at Troy University and is also pursuing a career in athletic training… Member of Iota Tau Alpha Athletic Training Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, and Sigma Alpha Pi National Society of Leadership and Success… Member of the Florida Southern Student-Athlete Advisory Committee… Interned with the North Carolina State University football team during the summers of 2016 and 2017 and remained with the Wolfpack throughout the 2017 season… Says the Washington Nationals and Washington Capitals are her favorite pro sports teams.
