Sophomore season highlights (2013)
* Picked up her third career save by pitching the final three innings of a 10-2 victory over Dominican (NY) (March 5)
* Made two relief appearances in the Eckerd College Tournament with 1.2 scoreless innings in each game against Shorter (Feb. 7) and Flagler (Feb. 9)
Freshman season highlights (2013)
* Started 42 of Florida Southern’s 49 games, including the final 33… Made six starts as a pitcher, one at first base, and 35 as the designated player, though she also batted in all six games she started in the circle… Normally hit seventh (17 times) or eighth (23 times) in the lineup
* Saw action at first base in four games overall
* Had two different 3-hit games, first in a 5-2 win at Warner (March 13) and later in a 3-1 loss to Nova Southeastern (April 12)
* Hit both of her doubles in 5-2 win at Warner, one of which plated the tying run
* Had two RBI in the Nova series where she went 4-for-9 and drove in the tie-breaking run with an RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning that lifted the Mocs to a 3-2 win in the series finale
* Went 1-for-3 with two walks in the Tampa series
* Had an impressive pitching debut by tossing a complete game against #25 Columbus State where she allowed only one earned run on five hits with four strikeouts and four walks in a 2-1 loss (Feb. 3)
* Followed that by suffering another complete game 2-1 loss to Lindenwood where she allowed only eight base runners (Feb. 8)
* Gave up two earned runs or less in five of her six starts
* Picked up Florida Southern’s only two saves by going the final two innings of a 7-4 win at Eckerd (March 2) and the seventh inning of a 2-1 win at Warner (March 13)
* Had two hits, one RBI and a save in the Eckerd series
* Pitched 3.1 scoreless innings of relief at Palm Beach Atlantic (March 20)
In high school… Came to Florida Southern as a 2012 graduate of Waterford High School in Connecticut where she led the Lancers to two state championships and four Eastern Connecticut Conference titles, was a 3-time All-State selection, and 4-time all-conference pick and all-area pick… Went 69-5 as a pitcher in her high school career… Played for coach Liz Sutman and helped the Lancers put together a 55-game winning streak that included an undefeated season in 2010… Named the ESPN/Gatorade Connecticut Softball Player-of-the-Year as a senior, making her a finalist for the national player-of-the-year award… Led Waterford to the state semifinals as a senior when the Lancers were 24-2, and she posted a 20-2 record with a 0.88 ERA and 154 strikeouts in 144 innings, while batting .374 with one home run and 19 RBI… Area player-of-the-year as a junior, going 15-2 with a 0.53 ERA, and batting .425 with 26 RBI… Went 18-0 as a sophomore with a 0.28 ERA, and hit .378 as the Lancers won the state title… 16-1 with a 0.30 ERA as a freshman when she won her first state championship… Also played four years of volleyball and two years of basketball at Waterford, and was an honor roll student… Played travel ball for America’s Game from 2006-09, the CT Eliminators in 2010, the CT Charmers in 2011, and the CT Tradition in 2012… Won four Little League state championships as well, and helped the Waterford South team reach the Softball World Series in 2007… Personal… Daughter of Don and Beth Connors… Has three older sisters (Sarah-31, Caitlyn-27, and Brittany-25)… Several of her former high school teammates are also playing college softball at schools throughout New England, including Division II Southern Connecticut State… Born 1/12/94… Physical education major.
