2013 (Sophomore year at Hillsborough CC): FCSAA First Team All-State and All-Region… Suncoast Conference Player-of-the-Year… First Team All-Suncoast Conference… 2012 (Freshman Year at Santa Fe CC): All-Region Tournament Team.
Florida Southern’s returning starting catcher… Joined the Moccasins in 2014 after a 2-year junior college career that saw her play at Santa Fe Community College in 2012, and at Hillsborough Community College as a sophomore in 2013... Helped those teams combine for 76 wins in two years… Hit .346 in her junior college career with 129 hits, 28 doubles, one triple, nine home runs and 84 RBI… Also had 11 walks and was hit by a pitch 28 times in those two years.
JUNIOR SEASON HIGHLIGHTS (2014)
* One of four Moccasins to start all 44 games, with all of them behind the plate… Played one inning at third base, a position she also played in junior college… Normally hit fifth or sixth in the batting order
* Set a school record with 20 runners caught stealing, a number that also led the Sunshine State Conference and was tied for third in Division II… Tied for the SSC lead in percentage of runners caught along with Florida Tech’s Nicole Shinsky at 36 percent (Booker was 20-for-55, Shinsky was 12-for-33)… Also picked off three other runners, tying for the second most in the SSC
* Tied with Jessica Lanci and Leah Pemberton for second on the team with 15 RBI
* Hit .302 from March 5 through the remainder of the season, a stretch that covered the final 31 games
* Had nine multi-hit games, and had three games with three hits (March 5 vs. Dominican, March 8 at Lynn, and March 14 vs. Southwest Minnesota State)
* Drove in a season-high two runs in four different games (Feb. 18 at Flagler, March 5 vs. Dominican, March 14 vs. Southwest Minnesota State, and April 12 vs. Rollins)
* Debuted for Florida Southern with two hits against Shorter (Feb. 7)
* Had her best conference series at Lynn where she went 5-for-10 with a double and one RBI
* Helped give Florida Southern two of its four extra-inning wins with a single that set up the winning run in a 4-3, 9-inning victory over Georgia Southwestern (March 19), and another single that drove in the winning run for a 5-4, 15-inning victory over Eckerd (April 25)
In junior college (2012-13)… As a sophomore, led Hillsborough Community College to a 41-25 overall record and the Suncoast Conference championship as the Suncoast Conference Player-of-the-Year for head coach Ray Seymour… Started all but one game for the Hawks… Led HCC in batting average (.418), hits (84), doubles (16), and RBI (58)… Also hit one triple and was second on the team with five home runs… Had a .465 on-base percentage, a .582 slugging percentage, had 27 multi-hit games, and on defense committed only two errors in 332 chances… Had a .500 batting average in conference play… Played in all 59 games for Santa Fe College and head coach Chris Ahern as a freshman, and helped the Saints finish as regional runner-up… Hit .262 with 12 doubles, four home runs and 26 RBI… Had a .323 on-base percentage.
In high school… 2011 graduate of Bartow High School where she played four years for head coach Glenn Rutenbar… Twice named to 5A All-State team in her high school career and was also twice named defensive player-of-the-year at Bartow… Helped the Yellow Jackets go 28-2 as a senior when they were state runner-up and earned a #6 national ranking in the ESPNRise Fab 50… Hit .411 with 15 doubles and 24 RBI as a senior… Team MVP as a junior… Played travel ball for the Gainesville Gold where she was coached by Paul Silverman… Also a member of the Bartow High School swimming team for one year… Personal… Born 2/10/93… Criminal Justice major.
