AWARDS AND HONORS
2014 (Junior year at Florida Southern): NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award winner… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… 2013 (Sophomore year at Polk State): FCSAA Second Team All-State… First Team All-Suncoast Conference… PSC Female Scholar-Athlete-of-the-Year.

Returning starter in leftfield… Played her first two seasons at Polk State College in Winter Haven for coach Jeff Ellis, and hit .342 in her junior college career… Helped lead the Eagles to one of the best seasons in school history as a sophomore, with Polk State winning a share of the Suncoast Conference title, and going 42-20 overall as the Gulf District runner-up.

Junior season highlights (2014)
* Started all but two games in left field where she excelled defensively and made eight hit-saving catches during the season… Second in the SSC among outfielders to teammate Allasyn Lieneck with 79 putouts… Took two extra-base hits away to help preserve a 2-0 win over American International (March 11)
* Third on the team with 18 runs scored
* Picked up her only extra-base hit with an RBI double against Western Ontario (Feb. 21)
* Had five multi-hit games on the season, including both games of a doubleheader against Dominican, NY (March 5)… Had another split doubleheader against Southwest Minnesota and Concordia-St. Paul with three hits and two walks
* Singled and scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Mocs a 5-4 win over 9th-ranked Barry (March 1)
* Scored another walk-off game-winner in a 5-4 victory over Dominican (NY) when she also singled in the bottom of the seventh inning (March 5)
* Best conference series came at Florida Tech where she went 4-for-12, singled and scored the winning run in the 10th inning of a 2-1 win in the middle game, and had another single that led to a 2-run 5th inning in the final game that again helped the Mocs win in extra innings

In junior college (2012-13)… In her all-conference sophomore season, hit .383 (79-for-206) with seven doubles, nine triples, one home run, and 32 RBI… Had 23 multi-hit games overall, and was 6-for-16 in the state tournament… Also stole 13 bases in 15 attempts and committed only one error in 66 chances in the field… Ranked fourth in the nation in NJCAA Division I with her nine triples.

In high school… Graduated from Lakeland’s Kathleen High School in 2011… Played for coaches Jenna Gray Desandolo and Nikki Gray Sapp… Selected as the Red Devils’ team MVP as a senior when she hit .460… Named their offensive player of the year as a junior when she had a .367 batting average, and hit .336 as a sophomore when she was Kathleen’s defensive player-of-the-year… Member of the National Honor Society who graduated with honors… Played travel ball for the Twilight Twisters, coached by Diana McKinney… Personal… Daughter of Stanley and Robin Stearns… Has one older brother (Blake-25)… Born 4/3/93… Physical Education major.
