Dan Kirk

Dan Kirk joined Florida Southern Athletics as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in February of 2021. He is responsible for the oversight of all Florida Southern athletic programs.
 
Prior to Florida Southern, Kirk spent three years working as an Athletic Performance Coach at the University of Vermont. There he was responsible for the strength and conditioning programs for men's soccer, women's soccer, track & field and cross country. While at Vermont, he also spent time as the Assistant Director of High Performance for the USA Softball Women’s National Team.
 
Kirk holds a bachelor’s degree in Sports and Fitness from the University of Central Florida (2013). While at UCF, he was an intern in the Strength and Conditioning Department for one year. In 2016, Kirk received his Master’s Degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science from the University of Tampa. While at Tampa, he worked with the men's and women's soccer teams, men's lacrosse team, and women's basketball team. He was a Graduate Assistant at Tampa for two years before going to Vermont. Additionally, Kirk has also interned at the University of Florida. As a Gator, he worked with men’s and women’s swimming, track & field, as well as women’s lacrosse.
 
Kirk is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He also holds credentials CES and USAW Level 1.
