Biography

Returns as a possible 4-year starter after playing center back the last two years and center back and midfielder as a freshman… Played in all but two Florida Southern games in her first three seasons, and has been on the field for 4,129 minutes in her career.

As a junior (2014)… NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award Winner… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Started all but two games in the center of the Florida Southern back line, playing 1,129 minutes… Missed games against Palm Beach Atlantic and Rollins, the first of her career, two games in which the Mocs surrendered eight goals… Prior to those two games, helped the Mocs record four shutouts in their first six games with only one goal allowed in each of the other two… Put together one of the best games of her career in a 1-1 tie with #22 Lenoir-Rhyne (Sept. 7)… Part of a defense that allowed only four total shots and none on goal during a 3-0 win over Flagler (Sept. 17)… Also led the defensive effort in a 2-1 win over #8 Barry which handed the Buccaneers their only regular season loss of the year (Sept. 20)… Took her only shot in the next to last game of the season against Saint Leo (Oct. 22)… Averaged 87 minutes per match, the third highest average on the team among field players behind fellow defenders Sydney Montgomery and Gianna Conte.

As a sophomore (2013)… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… President’s Honor Roll Student at Florida Southern… One of seven Moccasins to start all 20 games, with all of them coming in the center of Florida Southern’s back line… Helped the Moccasins post a 1.68 goals against average and five shutouts, with six other games allowing only one goal… Part of six games in which the Mocs allowed less than 10 total shots… One of the Mocs’ top performers in a 0-0 tie with defending national champion West Florida (Sept. 15), a game in which the Mocs allowed only eight shots… Also helped limit Eckerd to just four shots in a 1-0 loss (Oct. 8)… Had another big game in a 1-0 overtime win at #14 Tampa in the first round of the SSC Tournament (Nov. 5)… Had all three of her points in the 6-0 win over West Georgia when she scored the third goal of the match and assisted the fourth (Oct. 22)… Led the Moccasins in minutes played (1,860)… Averaged 93 minutes per match, playing all but 19 minutes of the season (1,860), and leaving only the West Georgia match.

As a freshman (2012)… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Joined the team in August as a walk-on and turned into a part-time starter and key reserve by the beginning of the regular season… One of six Moccasins who played in all 18 games, and along with Sarah Goolsby was one of two freshmen who played in every game… Started six games at center back due to injuries by Alyssa Abrahamsen and Morgan Sammons, and also started five games in the midfield… Averaged 63 minutes per match overall… Part of the Moccasin defense that turned in a 1.16 goals against average (fourth best in team history) and five shutouts, and had 13 games allowing one goal or less… Started at center back in the 1-0 win at Eckerd in which the Mocs tied a school record by allowing only one shot (Oct. 24)… Started as a midfielder in her second career match, a 0-0 tie with Anderson (Sept. 2)… Blocked a shot inside the box with goalkeeper Erin Moseley out of the net in the second half to preserve a 1-0 win at Nova Southeastern (Sept. 12)… Led the Mocs to a 3-0 win over Lynn in her first start on the back line, helping limit the Knights to only four shots (Sept. 22)… While also filling in at center back later in the year, made the biggest defensive play of the night with a solo stop inside the box in overtime that preserved a 1-1 tie with Tampa (Oct. 20)… Scored her first career goal in 4-2 loss to national champion West Florida (Sept. 9) in a starting assignment as a midfielder.

In high school… 2012 graduate of George Jenkins High School where she was a 4-year starter for both Joe Lenard and Marissa Kazbour… First Team All-Polk County in each of her final three seasons and a second team selection as a freshman… Second Team All-State as a sophomore… Had five goals and 11 assists as a senior… Helped the Eagles win four district titles and finish as 5A state runner-up in her freshman season (2009) and 4A runner-up her senior season (2012)… Scored George Jenkins’ goal in the 3-1 loss to Palm Harbor University in the 2009 state championship game… Played club soccer for Lakeland FC where she was coached by Joe Lenard and Tim Rice.
