As a junior (2013)… NCAA Division II Academic Achievement Award winner… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Appeared in eight games as a reserve midfielder or forward, averaging 27 minutes per match… Made one of the game-saving defensive plays late in the Mocs’ 2-1 win over #8 Barry (Sept. 20)… Played a season-high 42 minutes at Florida Tech (Oct. 18).
As a sophomore (2013)… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Played as one of the Moccasins’ top reserves, appearing in all but two of their 20 games with a career-high 491 minutes… First or second sub into the match nine times, including the final two regular season games and both games of the SSC Tournament… Among Florida Southern’s regular reserves, was third on the team in minutes played… Started and played 63 minutes in the Mocs’ 0-0 tie with top-ranked West Florida (Sept. 15)… Also played 63 minutes in the 6-0 win over West Georgia (Oct. 22) where she turned in one of the best games of her career… Had her only shot against Rollins saved by a defender (Oct. 16)… Averaged 27 minutes per match, including 25 as a reserve, which was third on the team behind Taylor Cox (33 per game) and Sheila Ramos (27 per game).
As a freshman (2012)… SSC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Missed the first five games of the season but played in every game thereafter as one of the Moccasins’ top reserves… First or second reserve into the match in nine of her 11 games off the bench, including eight in a row at one point… After making her debut with 62 minutes off the bench against Rollins (Sept. 19), made both of her starts in back-to-back games against Lynn and Nova Southeastern, and scored the game-winning goal in the 2-1 win over Nova (Sept. 25)… Averaged 37 minutes per match, and was third on the team in minutes played as a reserve despite missing five games… Played at least 40 minutes in five of her 11 games off the bench.
In high school… Home-schooled student, but played soccer for four years at Oviedo High School for coach Scott Waisanen… Honorable mention All-Seminole Athletic Conference as a junior and first team as a senior… Helped the Lions win the Class 6A state championship as a junior when they defeated Vero Beach High School, 2-1 (3-2 in penalty kicks)… Played against former Moccasin teammate Jackie Metz in that game… Was also a 4-year letter winner for the water polo team and competed in swimming as well… Won first team all-conference honors in water polo as a senior… Played club soccer for the Central Florida Kraze/Krush from 2000-12, and was coached by Colby Hale, now the head coach at the University of Arkansas.
Extra… Born 6/13/94… Daughter of Karen and Dan Phillips… Has one older sister (Anya) and one younger brother (Rhys)… Sister played soccer and water polo at Macalaster College from 2011-14… Psychology major with a minor in Criminology.
