As a freshman (2013)… Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll… All three of her appearances came in the final six games of the season, including both matches in the SSC  Tournament against Tampa and Rollins… Played a season-high 21 minutes in the 6-0 win over West Georgia where she took all three of her shots and forced the Wolves’ goalkeeper into two saves (Oct. 22).

In high school… Joined the Moccasins from Old Bridge High School where she played for head coach Robert Lozzi… Helped the Knights to a 16-5-1 record as a senior, which included 14 shutouts, as they advanced to the Central Jersey, Group 4 sectional championship game… Selected as team’s defensive player-of-the-year as a senior… Also a member of the track & field team where she was all-division in the discus… Member of the track & field team for four years and the basketball team for two… Recognized by ESPN New York for her athletic and academic performance in all of those sports… Played club soccer for the Colt Neck Comets (coached by Tommy Denigns), and played in southern California and Illinois as well.

Extra… Born 9/19/95… Daughter of Teddy and Valerie Nelson… Father played pro football with the Kansas City Chiefs in the mid-80’s… Has one younger sister (Maya)… Member of the Phi Etta Sigma Honors Society… Athletic Training major.
