The wins improved the Moccasins' record to 9-2 and extended their winning streak to four straight matches.
Against West Georgia, Danielle Higginbotham hit .367 and posted a team-high 14 kills, while Courtney Johnson delivered a career-high 18 digs. In the tournament finale against West Florida, the Mocs again were led by Higginbotham with a team-high 16 kills. Durham registered her fifth double-double of the season and 40th of her career with 15 kills and 10 digs. Her 10 digs enabled her to move past her coach, Jill Stephens, into fourth place on the FSC career digs list with 1,478.
Julia Borecka notched her first FSC double-double with 11 kills and 11 digs, while Anna Greenwood had a career-high 12 digs and Johnson tallied a career-high three aces to go with 14 digs.
After splitting the first two sets, the Moccasins had to overcome an 18-14 deficit to win the third set. In the fourth set, Greenwood's service ace broke an 18-18 tie and put FSC ahead to stay.
Named as the preseason favorite to win the Sunshine State Conference, the Moccasins open SSC action Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Jenkins Field House against defending SSC champion Tampa.
