The Moccasins saw their five-match winning streak halted Saturday, as No. 21 Barry edged the No. 17 Moccasins 5-4 in a Sunshine State Conference match at the FSC courts.
Barry took two of the three doubles matches and claimed the No. 6 singles match to take a 3-1 lead. The Moccasins battled back to tie the match on wins by Veronika Kovacikova at No. 4 singles and Senka Softic at No. 1. Barry regained the lead on Yulia Kashelkina's 6-3, 7-6 win over Erin Conroy at No. 3 singles, then clinched the match with a win by Caroline Wendling at No. 2 singles, 7-6, 6-2 over Ashley Hungerford.
Barry is 5-1, 3-1 in the SSC. The Moccasins are 5-1, 2-1 in the SSC.
