MOCS BLANKED ON FOUR HITS BY WEST FLORIDA

Three West Florida pitchers combined to throw a four-hit shutout, blanking the Moccasins 4-0 in the first of FSC's two games Sunday at St. Augustine.

Starter Joe Sintes pitched the first seven innings, scattering three hits, striking out four and walking none, to get the win.

Stephen Batman made the start for the Moccasins and took the loss, falling to 1-1. He pitched into the seventh inning, striking out five and walking two. He gave up two runs and nine hits. Ryan Wolfe pitched two scoreless innings in relief.

Wade Kirkland had the Moccasins' only extra base hit, a double in the fourth.

West Florida scored two in the fourth and two in the seventh to hand the Moccasins their third straight loss. The Moccasins play Flagler in the final game of their weekend road trip.
