2027 Florida Southern Baseball Schedule Released

Mocs will host 32 games at Henley Field in 2027

LAKELAND, Fla. – Florida Southern College head coach Rick O'Dette released the 2027 baseball schedule, which includes 32 home games at Henley Field.

"Our 2027 schedule will test us," said O'Dette on the 2027 slate. "We believe in challenging ourselves against high-level competition, and this schedule will test us from start to finish. We are excited about the group we have returning, the new additions to our program, and the opportunity to compete at a high level. We look forward to seeing what 2027 has in store for the Mocs."

The 2026 season, the second at the helm for O'Dette, finished with a 26-22 overall record and 15-14 in the Sunshine State Conference. Ranked in the top 10 for the early weeks of the season, FSC was just short of an NCAA regional bid in 2026, with another competitive schedule planned for 2027.

Featuring 50 total games scheduled, the Moccasins will open the 2027 season with 20 straight home games at Henley Field. The season opener will be against the University of Alabama in Huntsville on Jan. 29 for a 6 p.m. start. A Saturday doubleheader will follow on the 30th before a busy weekend Feb. 4-6 against Erskine College and Northwest Nazarene University. The Mocs will host neutral-site games in that mix, while alternating games against the Nighthawks and Fleet for two games each that weekend. This will be the first time facing Northwest Nazarene in program history.

The following weekend, FSC will host the University of South Carolina Beaufort Feb. 12-14 for a single-game, three-day series. Feb. 19-21 will see Wayne State University for a four-game series, including a Saturday doubleheader packed on the 20th. A midweek bout against Valdosta State University on Feb. 23 will start the week before the SSC opener against Embry-Riddle on Feb. 26-27. The final series in a lengthy home stretch will be a two-game series against Northwood University on March 5-6.

The first road contest of the 2027 season will be at Flagler College, soon to be an SSC addition for the 2027-28 academic year, on March 9, before returning to Lakeland to host Rollins College March 12-13. A road conference series against Florida Tech will be next on March 19-20, followed by a road game against Valdosta State on March 23. The March calendar will finish with a home series against Barry University on March 26-27, before a road trip to St. Petersburg to face Eckerd College on April 2-3. The first-ever matchup against Edward Waters University will take place in Jacksonville on April 6, before hosting the 2026 national champions, the University of Tampa, on April 16-17.

Florida Southern will then travel to Saint Leo University April 23-24, followed by a home series against Palm Beach Atlantic University on April 30-May 1 as the final home games of the regular season. The final two series of the regular season will be on the road, beginning with Lynn University on May 6-7 and followed by Nova Southeastern University on May 14-15.

The postseason for the 2027 season will begin with NCAA regionals May 20-23, followed by super regionals May 27-29 at host sites. The 2027 DII Finals will be June 4-12 at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
