The 17th-ranked Moccasins improved their record to 7-2 with an 8-1 decision over Lake Superior State Monday.
After winning two of the three doubles matches, the Moccasins clinched the match on a straight-set win by All-American Senka Softic at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1, over Ingrid Pflieger. The win was the ninth straight without a loss in singles competition this season for Softic.
Nora Baertschi and Veronika Kovacikova improved their singles records to 8-1 at No. 5 and No. 4 singles, respectively.
The Moccasins are idle until they take a three-match road trip to California Mar. 12-14.
