Twentieth-ranked Northwood (Mich.) topped the 17th-ranked Moccasins 6-3 Wednesday at the FSC courts.
Northwood took two of the three doubles matches, then claimed four straight-set wins in singles to improve its record to 4-0. The loss dropped the Moccasins' record to 4-3.
Roman Schirmaier, who is ranked No. 32 in singles in Division II, downed Northwood's Peter Kazianschuetz, who is ranked No. 16, in three sets, 6-2, 3-6, 6-3, at No. 1 singles. Nicolas Bigler had FSC's only other singles win at No. 5 singles.
The Moccasins play St. Joseph's (Ind.) Thursday at 10 a.m. at the FSC courts.
