Trae Gore homered twice, doubled and drove in three runs to help power the top-ranked Moccasins to a 13-4 win over #29 Winona State Tuesday night at Henley Field.
Gore homered to lead off the bottom of the first to start a three-run outburst. He doubled and scored in the Mocs' two-run second, then belted a two-run homer, his sixth of the season, in the fourth inning.
The Moccasins broke the game open with a six-run fifth inning that was capped by Kelvin Clark's bases loaded double. Clark also had an RBI-triple in the second. In addition to Gore's three hits, Colin Kaline also collected three hits. Wade Kirkland, Andrew Grutka and Braxton Chisholm each had two hits.
Tucker Pryor worked seven innings to get the win, improving his record to 3-0. He allowed four hits, three runs, struck out four and walked just one.
The Moccasins, now 17-2, play Ashland (Ohio) Wednesday night at 7 at Henley Field.
