Max Russell gave the Moccasins eight strong innings on the mound and his teammates produced three runs in the sixth and one in the seventh for a 4-1 win over Palm Beach Atlantic on the road Friday night.
The win was the 11th straight for the Moccasins, who improved their record to 36-5. Palm Beach Atlantic dropped to 15-17.
In boosting his record to 9-0 this season, Russell worked eight innings, scattered six hits, gave up just one run, struck out six and walked one. Daniel Tillman pitched the ninth and recorded his 11th save of the season.
Trailing 1-0, the Moccasins in their sixth got an RBI-single from Kelvin Clark, and infield out RBI from Tyler Benzel and an RBI-single from Andrew Grutka. They added an unearned run in the seventh.
Clark and Colin Kaline each had two hits for the Moccasins.
FSC and PBA play a doubleheader Saturday at 1 p.m.
