The Moccasins ran into a strong Barry team in Friday's semifinal match in the Sunshine State Conference Tournament and lost 5-0.Â
The Buccaneers, ranked fifth in Division II, took all three doubles matches and clinched the match with wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles to improve their record to 18-4. The seventh-ranked Moccasins dropped to 14-6.
For the second straight day, all of the men's matches were decided by 5-0 scores with no upsets.
Second-seeded Barry and top-seeded Lynn will play in the championship match Saturday at 9 a.m. It marks the third straight year those two teams have met in the title match, with Barry winning each of the last two. Lynn, however, won the regular season match with Barry this season, 7-2.
The Moccasins and Rollins will play in the third-place match, also at 9 a.m. Eckerd and Florida Tech will play in the fifth-place match at 11:30 a.m.
All of the matches will be played at the Beerman Tennis Center on Edgewood Drive.
