Box Score 2 The Moccasins' Wade Kirkland is a second-team Academic All-District selection by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Kirkland, a junior, has started all 50 games this season and is batting .340 with 10 home runs and a team-best 55 RBI. He also leads the team in doubles (18) and stolen bases (14) and shares the team lead in hits with 66.
To be eligible for consideration for the Academic All-District Team, a student-athlete had to have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30. Kirkland is majoring in recreational turfgrass management and has a GPA of 3.40.
