With two outs in the inning Austin Chubb homered over the left field wall for his first home run of the season. Benzel drove in his second run in the fifth with an infield single that scored Mike Snyder, who had doubled.

Prior to the game, members of the Moccasins' 1981 national championship team and coach Joe Arnold were recognized in observance of the 30th anniversary of their title.

The Moccasins and Tritons play a doubleheader Saturday starting at 1 p.m. at Henley Field.
