Box Score
Six players each collected at least two hits, as the Moccasins put together a 16-hit attack in a 12-7 win over Winona State (Minn.) Tuesday night at Henley Field.
Kyle Jackson and Kyle Gibbs had three hits apiece, while Cory Jensen, T.J. Kuban, Keith Curcio and Colin Kish each had two. Jensen, Austin Chubb, Kish and Gibbs also had two RBI each.
Winona State (3-5) grabbed an early 3-0 lead going to the bottom of the second, but the Moccasins erased that with a four-run inning.  RBI-singles by Kish and Gibbs, a sacrifice fly by Jensen and an RBI-triple by Kuban produced the runs. Winona State tied it in the top of the third on a lead-off home run by Seth McMullen, the first of two he had in the game for the Warriors.
The Moccasins answered with a run in the bottom of the third when Jackson singled home Curcio, who had doubled with one out, to put FSC in front to stay.  Jensen hit his fourth home run of the season in the fourth. A four-run seventh, highlighted by Chubb's two-run double, broke the game open.
Austin Barnett, the second of six Moccasin pitchers to work in the game, relieved starter Jake Guengerich to start the third inning to pick up his first collegiate win, as he became the pitcher of record when the Moccasins went in front in the bottom of the inning. Austin Jackson, Mike Czenszak, Anthony Dovale and Nate Carter also worked in relief.
The Moccasins (12-9) open a weekend Sunshine State Conference series at Eckerd Friday at 7 p.m. The two teams will play a 1 p.m. doubleheader Saturday.Â
